NEMO attends the IAEA 69th General Conference

For the first time, NEMO participated in the 69th General Conference of the IAEA in Vienna. The NEMO delegation was supported by members from Bureau Veritas and the Wright Maritime's team, representing all NEMO members.

While the main plenary agenda did not include topics related to maritime nuclear, the side event “Safety of Transportable Nuclear Power Plants (TNPPs)” highlighted the IAEA’s ATLAS initiative and its support for the development of advanced maritime technologies.

During the conference, the NEMO delegation engaged with key industry stakeholders and initiated discussions with the IAEA to develop a “Safety Nuclear Application at Sea” workshop, planned for 2026.
